RCMP investigate theft of multiple firearms stolen from Creston business

Creston RCMP is seeking public assistance to identify the suspects after a number of firearms were stolen from a business overnight.

Creston RCMP said that during the early morning hours on May 17, 2023, officers responded to a report of a break and enter at a local business on the 1000 block of Canyon Street.

Police said that the unknown suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival, but it was discovered that multiple firearms had been stolen along with ammunition.

RCMP said the scene was processed for additional evidence with the assistance of Cranbrook Forensic Identification Services (FIS).

All necessary resources, including RCMP support services like FIS, are actively engaged to identify the suspects and secure these stolen weapons, said Cst. Brett Urano Creston RCMP Media Relations Officer.
