RCMP, BC Coroner continue to investigate body found in burned vehicle

The Kelowna RCMP and BC Coroners Service continue to investigate after a body was found in a burned vehicle on Saturday night.
Kelowna RCMP were called for for assistance with a burning vehicle on Casorso Road at Barrera Road Saturday (December 13) 6:07 p.m.
Emergency crews located a pickup truck fully engulfed in flames and worked quickly to extinguish the fire. The truck suffered extensive damages during the blaze and, tragically, a body was discovered inside.
Positive identification of the body has not yet been determined but the family of the registered owner of the vehicle has been notified.
The investigation suggests that the fire was intentionally set although foul play is not suspected at this time.
The Kelowna RCMP continues to assist the BC Coroners Service in the investigation.
