Police seek suspect in Penticton armed robbery attempt

The Penticton RCMP are seeking public assistance in regards to an attempt armed robbery which occurred Tuesday evening at a downtown business.     

The incident happened at approximately 5:50 p.m, when the Penticton RCMP responded to a report of an attempt armed robbery in the downtown core. 

Poilce were advised that a male entered Mike's Pawn Brokers at 333 Main Street brandishing what appeared to be a small handgun but left emptyhanded after demanding cash.

"The suspect male is described as Caucasian, 6'0", 170lbs/slim build, wearing black track pants, black shirt, grey zip up hoody, a blue baseball cap “TAYLOR MADE” written across the front, sunglasses, black gloves with white stripping on the back, white running shoes and was sporting a fake beard," the RCMP media release said.

"The male fled on foot northbound on Main Street. Police responded with extensive patrols being conducted however the male was not located."
