Kootenay Conference dumps Okanagan Shuswap at KIJHL Prospects Game

Brock Palmer of Kimberley scored twice to pace the Kootenay Conference to a 7-3 victory over Okanagan Shuswap Conference at the KIJHL Prospects Game Saturday in Kelowna.

Palmer scored twice in the third to power the Kootenay Conference to the victory.

Ryan Piva of Nelson Leafs, Bradley Ross and Aiden Jenner of Beaver Valley Nitehawks, Riley Poffenroff of Grand Forks Border Bruins and Johnny Elias of Golden Rockets also scored for the winners.

Brandon Onstein of Osoyoos Coyotes and Reid Perepeluk of Kamloops Storm, with a pair, replied for the Okanagan Shuswap.

Kootenay Conference out shot the Okanagan Shuswap 46-27 in the game.

Ryan Cooper of the Nelson Leafs was selected Kootenay Conference Game Star while Perepeluk earned the Okanagan Shuswap honour.

Leaf coach Mario DiBella was the head coach of the Kootenay Conference.
