Bombers claim Best of the West Division 2 Title

The L.V. Rogers Bombers added another piece of hardware to the trophy case over the weekend, finishing first in Division 2 at the Kelowna Secondary Best of the West Senior Girls Volleyball Tournament.
LVR bounced Selkirk of Kimberley 2-0 — 25-15, 25-22 — in the best-of-three Division 2 Final Saturday in Kelowna.
The Bombers narrowly missed out on competing in Division 1 of the tournament, losing in three sets to Clarence Fulton of Vernon.
The score in the deciding game was 16-14 for the fourth ranked Double-A school from the Central Okanagan.
LVR defeated Osoyoos in Division 2 quarterfinal action and Louis St. Laurent of Edmonton in the semi-finals.
The tournament attracts some of the top volleyball schools from all divisions in BC as teams gear up for zone playoffs in November.
LVR earlier this season won volleyball tournaments in Oliver and Mount Sentinel.
