Head coach Theo Friml, along with members of the Selkirk College Saints Women’s Volleyball team, traveled to Salmo earlier this month to run some of the Falcon players through a skills development camp.

Girls in Grades 7 to 12 took part in the all day event, that included members of the Saints players Brittany Rudashy, Christana Livingstone and Megan Bursey.

The camp focused teaching the kids skills such as passing, setting, serving and blocking.

“It was a positive experience for our student-athletes passing on their knowledge and excitement for volleyball to these young aspiring players,”  Friml said.

The Selkirk Saints Women’s Volleyball Team is looking forward to doing more for our local high school programs in the future.

The Saints open the B.C. College Athletic Volleyball season later this month with a road trip to the Fraser Valley and Okanagan.

First home game is November 5 against Douglas College at the Selkirk gymnasium in Castlegar.
