Nelson Youth Soccer opens 2015 House League season

Even a little rain could not dampen spirits of hundreds of players as Nelson Youth Soccer opened its house league season for 2015 Saturday at Lakeside.
Players from U6 to U 12 took to the Lakeside Fields for the first games of the season.
Teams have been training on Lakeside fields for the past week.
The season continues until June when the association breaks for the summer, resuming in September of the second half of the campaign.
Nelson Youth Soccer Rep Teams have been in full swing already, with some clubs having a tournament under their belts.
Some teams are preparing to attend tournament in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho May 9-10 or the Kamloops Slurpee Cup May 16-18.
Nelson’s Terry Walgren Memorial Tournament and U12 Selects Jamboree is scheduled for May 22-24 at Lakeside.
