Rock Clubs host Kootenay Gem Mineral & Fossil Show

The Kokanee and Selkirk Rock Clubs are once again hosting the annual Kootenay Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show in Castlegar.
The dates for this year’s show are June 3-4 during Sunfest Weekend at the Castlegar and District Community Complex in the Sunflower City.
Organizers are anticipating a great show with even more vendors than previous events.
There will be gems, crystals, fossils, jewelry, lapidary supplies, dealer displays, gold panning and demonstrations.
Times are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The public is urged to bring along a mystery rock for identification help from the Selkirk College Geology Department.
Children under six are free.
