Kootenay Columbia College in Nelson is wrapping up the winter term of studies and is getting ready for their Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Spring & Summer Student Clinic season.

From April through July in the Nelson Trading Company 402 Baker St. (behind Full Circle Café) come on down and get a diagnostic assessment to create an individualized treatment plan under the supervision of licensed practitioners.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers holistic approaches to health and healing that can complement Western medicine.

Student clinics like this not only provide valuable hands-on experience for aspiring practitioners but also make these alternative therapies more accessible to the community.

Acupuncture, Tui Na Chinese Massage, Cupping, Moxa, and Chinese Herbal Therapy are all integral components of TCM, each offering unique benefits for different health concerns.

By offering these services at affordable rates, the clinic ensures that more people can access these treatments, promoting overall well-being in the community.

During the clinic’s operating months from April to July, patients also have the opportunity to receive personalized care under the supervision of licensed TCM practitioners. This setup not only ensures the safety and efficacy of treatments but also allows students to learn and grow in their practice.

Overall, initiatives like the Traditional Chinese Medicine Student clinic play a crucial role in bridging the gap between theory and practice in TCM, while also contributing to the health and wellness of the community.
