Local 'Champ' Fraser Packham recognized Nelson Mayor

Local “Champ” recognized by Mayor Kozak – Fraser Packham, 11, of Nelson, was presented with a certificate by Mayor Deb Kozak, on November 7th  to recognize his involvement with The War Amps and for spreading important messages in the community.

Packham, born a left arm amputee, is a member of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program.

He is a strong advocate of The War Amps PLAYSAFE message and educates children to spot the danger in their neighbourhoods. Fraser also helps pass on the remembrance message to the younger generation on behalf of The War Amps Operation Legacy.

Packham was present during the Remembrance Day Ceremonies in Nelson and assisted in placing the wreath for the Nelson Chapter of the Legion.
