Free Library talk on wills and estates poised to answer questions

Most of us don’t like to think about our eventual demise, and yet we care about what happens after we’re gone. The Nelson Public Library hosts a free evening dedicated to Wills and Estates presented by Nelson lawyer Troy Trillo on Thursday, September 15 at 7 p.m.
Trillo’s talk will look at a number of common questions, including: Do I need a Will? Can my Will be challenged if I don’t provide for my children equally? How long can I tie up my kids’ inheritance? Does having a blended family make a difference to my Will? What is a Power of Attorney? Doesn’t a Power of Attorney cover health care matters? Do I need a Representation Agreement? There will be time set aside after the talk for additional questions.
Trillo’s practice is focused primarily on solicitor’s work, including Wills & Estates, Corporate and Commercial, and Real Estate law.
After graduating from the Faculty of Law at UBC in 1999 with a Juris Doctor, Troy articled at Suffredine, Gartner and continued there until 2005 when he joined Greg Stacey and formed Stacey, Trillo & Company, now Stacey, Trillo & Yates.
