To help celebrate World Water Week the West Kootenay EcoSociety is joining with Friends of Kootenay Lake to showcase the film, The Fish Between the Falls.

The movie, set for Thursday (March 19) is being shown at the Nelson Senior’s Branch #51 at 717 Vernon Street in Nelson (next to the Civic Theatre).

One of the biggest river restoration projects ever attempted is happening right in our own backyard.

The Fish Between The Falls is telling its story to the world.

Experts across the US and in Canada are part of the Kootenai River White Sturgeon Recovery Team, and discovering their story took film maker George Sibley literally from coast to coast.

Sibley will be in the house for the screening.

The film begins at 6:30 p.m.

Admission by donation.

New Friends of Kootenay Lake are also pleased to announce a short film about our group and the importance of lake stewardship. To view click here.
