UPDATED: NPD 9-1-1 issues resolved

Earlier in the day Nelson Police were experiencing difficulties with its telephone lines, specifically 9-1-1.
Nelson Police in a media release said as of 7 p.m., the phone line issue has been resolved.
Nelson Police said residents requiring emergency service may now call 9-1-1 as per normal.
URGENT: 9-1-1 lines down at NPD
The Nelson Police Department is currently experiencing difficulty with its telephone lines, specifically 9-1-1.
During this problem, 9-1-1 calls within the City of Nelson and immediate area are currently not being routed to the Primary Dispatch Point. Callers will note that if they call 9-1-1 currently the line will just ring without being answered.
Residents requiring emergency service should call the agencies directly until this issue is resolved.
