Construction/Development Entrepreneurs to discuss industry challenges

The Nelson Daily has reached out to a handful of local businesses to be part of the Kootenay Construction/Development Event set for Thursday (February 21) at Social Room Interiors.

Co-sponsored with Maglio Building Centre Ltd. and Startup Nelson, the Kootenay Construction/Development Entrepreneur Meetup is set for 6:30 p.m. at the 619 Vernon Street location. This is the third Entrepreneur Event sponsored by The Nelson Daily.

Cover Architectural Collaborative Inc.; Fuhrious Construction Ltd.; MacLeod Nine Consultants Ltd; Rokform Solutions; Purcell Timber Frame Homes and Red Dog Carpentry have agreed to be part of the panel to discuss the challenges faced by local businesses involved in the construction industry in small market Nelson.

Coordinated by Deb Fuhr, Advertising Rep for The Nelson Daily with Rose Hoeher and Jamie Renney from StartUp Nelson, the evening will focus on hopes and challenges in operating their respective businesses.

Each business owner will give a brief synopsis of their business challenges before an-open forum discussion with questions from audience. The event is open to the public or can be seen on Facebook Live streamed to both Startup Nelson and The Nelson Daily pages.
