Live in the Koots Team kicks off 2013 with major donations

Nelson REALTORS® Jeff Nield and Jana Cook, along with some help from their clients, have kicked-off their 2013 giving campaign with $1530 in donations to three non-profit groups.
Donation recipients include the Parkinson Society of BC ($530), Nelson CARES Society ($250), and Transition Nelson ($250). Nield’s client, Dr. Andre Piver, matched the latter two donations bringing the total to $1530.
“The work that Jeff and Jana are doing to raise funds for community charities is wonderful,” said Nelson CARES Executive Director Jenny Robinson.
“It is rare and innovative and deeply appreciated by our clients and tenants!”
“This is a great gesture which we hope will inspire other realtors,” said Diane Robinson, CEO of Parkinson Society British Columbia.
“The donation will support our services and educational programs for the Parkinson’s community.”
Nield and Cook believe that an important part of any business plan is giving back to the community. Working together as The Live in the Koots Team at Fair Realty they have set a goal of raising $20,000 for the community in 2013, by donating at least 10 percent of every real estate commission to a charitable organization of their client’s choosing.
