Mallard's Team of the Week — Trafalgar Thunder Gr. 8 Girls Basketball

The Trafalgar Thunder came ever so close to capturing the West Kootenay Grade 8 Girls Basketball Title, losing a close 19-15 decision to Rossland at the Championship Tournament Friday at the J. Lloyd Crowe gymnasium in Trail.
The Thunder, which saw remarkable improvement throughout the hardwood campaign, consists of nine Grade 7s and two Grade 8 player.
Trafalgar advanced to the final by stopping Stanley Humphries of Castlegar 46-27.
Trulah Grypma bested all scorers with 15 points.
Mallard’s Source for sports would like to salute the Thunder with Team of the Week honours.
The Thunder include, Curtis Good, Leo Grypma and Honor Rozee and players Mackenzie Dowell, Brigita Banyard-Swanson, Hazel MacKay, Lyla Garrett, Trulah Grypma, Lainey Stark, Simone Rochette, Isla Markin, Avery Anderson, Calleigh Cowan, and Ava Anderson.
