All but one of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League playoff Divisional semi finals have been completed and that lone series does not include the Nelson Leafs.

The Leafs were eliminated over the weekend by the Grand Forks Border Bruins as the Boundary City squad shutout Nelson 3-0 to clinch the Murdoch Division semi final 4-1.

Kamloops Storm and Sicamous Eagles are tied at 3-3 in the Doug Birks semi final. Game seven goes Monday in Kamloops.

JP Desabrais scored twice to lead the Border Bruins to victory in Game five Friday in Grand Forks. Levi Astill scored the other goal for the Bruins.

Ethan Shebansky stopped all 33 shots to register the win in goal for Grand Forks.

The Border Bruins now meet Beaver Valley Nitehawks in the best-of-seven Murdoch Division Final. The series scheduled has not yet been released.

Meanwhile the Leafs saw a quick exit from the post season for the second consecutive year.

Nelson was outed last season by Beaver Valley in the first round of the Murdoch Division playoffs in six games.

Other KIJHL first round winners included Fernie Ghostriders and Columbia Valley Rockies in the Eddie Mountain Division; Princeton Posse and North Okanagan Knights in the Bill Ohlhausen Division and Revestoke Grizzlies in the Doug Birks Division.
