It is that time of year again, the Coldest Night of the Year event is happening in Nelson Saturday February 24th, 2018.

The focus of the last three CNOY walks was the refurbishment of our downtown affordable housing building, Ward Street Place. This year the funding focus shifts to support individuals.

The Ready For Home program provides supports to homeless individuals ready for housing, individuals newly housed and those at risk of losing their housing. At the core of Ready For Home is a paid staff member who works one-on-one with individuals to find housing, to transition into affordable housing and to sustain them in their existing accommodation.

We are hoping that once again you will support us to raise funds and awareness around this important issue in our community.  And if you haven’t been a part of the event in past years I invite you to join us this year.  This is a family friendly event with a 2, 5 or 10k walk (your choice) followed by a warm bowl of chili and community gathering.

Community support will make a difference in the lives of people in Nelson.  Here’s the link https://cnoy.org/home to get started!

Thanks for considering supporting Coldest Night of the Year 2018 Nelson.
