Earthquake near Oliver over weekend

That jolt Saturday morning wasn’t that kick from coffee for residents in the South Okanagan.

Earthquake Canada reporter there was a 4.0 earthquake  detected by seismic measuring systems near Oliver, B.C., on Saturday morning.

“There are no reports of damage, and none would be expected,” said the Earthquake Canada website.

“Lightly felt in Penticton, Kaleden, Bridesville, Lake Country, Oliver and region.”

The earthquake happened at 9:16 a.m. with a depth of one kilometer.
