Home invasion in Comox Valley

The Comox Valley RCMP was called to a report of a home invasion on Wednesday (February 25) at 4:31 p.m. at a home in East Courtenay.

An immediate response was made to the area to locate the person responsible.

The investigation revealed that a male forced his way into the residence and ordered the occupant to the upstairs of the house. 

The homes occupant refused to follow the male’s instructions and an altercation took place which ended up with the male suspect being pushed down a flight of stairs.

The suspect fled the scene after this occurred.

Police are looking for the male described as approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall, slight build, approximate age between 20 and 35 years, wearing a Red workmen’s vest with yellow reflective strips.

He was wearing a black colored toque, work boots and gloves and may have had black or dark colored pants. Upon arrival at the residence the male was wearing a green hard hat and was carrying a book.
