Trenaman acclaimed as Chair for Kootenay Lake School Board

Lenora Trenaman was acclaimed as Chair of the Kootenay Lake School Board at the inaugural meeting Tuesday the district said in a media release.

Trustee Lenora Trenaman was acclaimed as Chair, and Trustee Sharon Nazaroff was acclaimed as Vice-Chair,” the release said.

The School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake) Board of Education consists of nine elected Trustee representatives from throughout the district.

Trustees engage their communities in building and maintaining educational programming that reflects local priorities, values and expectations. The Trustees also guide the work of the school district.

Trustee Rebecca Huscroft was acclaimed as the British Columbia Public School Employers Association representative from School District No. 8, and Trustee Curtis Bendig was acclaimed as the alternate.

Trustee Sharon Nazaroff was acclaimed as the British Columbia School Trustees Association representative from School District No. 8 and Trustee Dawn Lang as alternate. Kootenay Lake School District is located in the BC Interior and stretches from South Slocan in the south to Kaslo in north and Creston in the east.
