LVR students join in fighting bullying on Pink Shirt Day

Students at L.V. Rogers in Nelson joined the entire province to put an end to bullying during last week’s Pink Shirt Day.
Pink Shirt Day is a way for everyone to come together to fight one common goal: erasing all forms of bullying, including cyber-bullying, in the province.
Students at LVR were recipients of Annie’s Boutique donation of 40 t-shirts which were given to students that answered a question related to bullying.
B.C. is a national leader in bullying prevention and is the first province in Canada to develop a comprehensive 10-point strategy.
Launched in June 2012, B.C.’s ERASE Bullying Strategy has caught the attention of several provinces. Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Nova Scotia have contacted B.C.’s Ministry of Education to find out how they can implement similar strategies in their own provinces.
