Are you someone who wants to get more connected to your community?

Do you want to meet more people?

Are you curious?

Have you ever wanted to know more about a subject?

Then becoming a volunteer Kootenay Morning radio host might be just the thing for you.

Kootenay Co-op Radio is thrilled to announce that our flagship current affairs show Kootenay Morning is expanding.

Through a grant awarded by the Community Radio Fund of Canada, Kootenay Morning will be expanding from 2 to 4 days a week with the aim to cover more of what is happening in and around our region.

As a community radio station, we’re equally excited to expand our format with regular contributors from the many and varied organization around the area. We’re inviting groups to regularly join us behind the mics to share their organization news  – are you hiring? when is your AGM? are you looking for board members or volunteers? Did you get a big grant?… and more.

Kootenay Co-op Radio strives to reflect all aspects of the community and we are only as good as the people who show up to the microphone. Whether your interested in becoming a volunteer host or want to be a regular contributor to the show, we invite you to show up.

Contact Anthony Sanna, the News & Spoken Word Coordinator if you have any questions about participating in this expansion. Email kootenaymorning@gmail.com or call 250-480-6828.

This initiative is made possible by a grant Kootenay Co-op Radio received from the Community Radio Fund of Canada, the only organization mandated to financially support campus and community radio stations in Canada.
