ArtWalk 2024 — gearing up for another amazing year

Get ready to be dazzled because ArtWalk 2024 is gearing up for another amazing year.
The stage is being set for the 36th annual ArtWalk, and we’re throwing the doors wide open for artists and venues to jump in on this adventure.
Last year was a massive hit, with over 40 brilliant artists lighting up 23 venues around town, and the Nelson & District Arts Council (NDAC) is all pumped up to outdo itself again this year.
Business owners this is your golden chance to transform your space into a mini art gallery of local artistry. Join us as an ArtWalk venue and play a pivotal role in elevating the local arts scene while supporting our local artists.
Imagine your space come alive with stunning, locally produced artwork.
Mark your calendars for two electrifying opening nights on Saturday, June 29th, and Saturday, July 27th.
These opening nights will be nothing short of splendid, with the streets of Nelson’s downtown core buzzing with incredible art displays, captivating street performances, and a whirlwind of other surprises from 6 to 9 p.m.
And guess what?
Each opening night will unveil a fresh batch of artists and their latest masterpieces!
Calling all artists, from the seasoned professionals to the bold emerging talents – this is your moment! We’re on the lookout for fresh, unseen works that promise to captivate and inspire.
Although not everyone will make the cut, we’re especially keen on showcasing recent creations that haven’t been featured at ArtWalk or other Nelson venues before. And because we’re committed to supporting our community’s vibrant economic revival, NDAC is thrilled to announce that we’ll be waiving participation fees for both artists and venues in 2024.
So, let’s make ArtWalk 2024 a monumental celebration of art and community. Let the creativity flow and let’s paint the town in the most vibrant colours.

Applications will close on Monday, April 15th at 5 p.m.
