Vehicle accident near Shoreacres Wednesday morning

First responders were one scene west of the South Slocan junction Wednesday morning to deal with a vehicle accident near Shoreacres.

The vehicle flipped on its side before resting near a power pole on the side of Highway 3A, approximately 20 kilometers east of Castlegar.

Local volunteer fire departments responded to the accident along with BC Ambulance and RCMP.

Morning commuter traffic was slowed while first responders dealt with the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
