Bullying is still a problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and over the Internet. Each year, on Pink T-Shirt Day, we encourage all of you to wear something pink to symbolize that we as a society will not tolerate bullying anywhere. Take the message and remember it all year long.

It is so important that victims of bullying know they are not alone and there is help and support available. Wearing a pink shirt on this day sends a strong message to them that others care. Often, the simple act of wearing a shirt can start conversations – conversations can be a big step towards healing and helping!

The local campaign started in 2009 when Anne at Annie’s Boutique in Nelson BC bought and donated 300 pink t-shirts to Nelson area schools. In recent years, we were able to expand on the offering with the help of our wonderful sponsors and we have given thousands of t-shirts to our local schools.

For 2019, we donated almost $20,000 worth of t-shirts to schools in the SD8 and SD20 areas.
