NDAC Artwalk joins with Road Kings to host Hall Street Party
The Nelson and District Arts Council is joining with the Nelson Road Kings for a year-end party Friday, September 8 at the Hall Street Plaza.
The party is to celebrate another successful ArtWalk, the 29th annual in Nelson.
“These last few weeks have just flown by with lots of art being enjoyed and sold,” said Stephanie Myers this year’s ArtWalk coordinator. We had a bit of an emergency when there was a flood at one of our venues; luckily for us the art was fine.
“It did have to be moved to interim locations while repairs were made but we are hoping to get them back in place this weekend. Big thanks go to the Capital Theatre and Kootenai Clothing for making space on such short notice.”
The Hall Street Party begins at 7:30 p.m. after the Nelson Road Kings Parade through the downtown and lower Fairview.
Entertainment provided by “Sydney Black and the Boyfriends” featuring: Tom Thomson, Jesse Lee, Steven Parish, Clinton Swanson and of course Sydney Black on vocals. This will be a one of a kind family friendly event.
And look for ArtWalk next year when we will be 30 years young.
