The Nelson and District Arts Council (NDAC) is excited to announce that artist and building owner applications for the Nelson International Mural Festival are now being accepted.

NDAC said in a media release the organization is thrilled to be presenting the third annual mural festival in collaboration with the City of Nelson.

Through the festival, NDAC is increasing the cultural vibrancy of Nelson by engaging local, national and international street artists, muralists, performance artists, creators and arts lovers through the creation of up to 10 large scale public artworks, two days of live music, dance and theatre and educational opportunities.

NDAC desires to shine a light on local cultures and histories, encouraging collaboration and community building. The festival is an inclusive event intended for all cultures, genders, ages and abilities.

Artist and Building Owner applications are currently available on the website and close on Wednesday, January 15th at 5 p.m.
