Dowes, Evelyn Irene

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evelyn Irene Dowes of Winlaw on February 1, 2024 at the age of 66.
Evelyn lived in the Winlaw area her whole life, where she met her husband of 44 years, Tim. She was a homemaker that loved caring for her family and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. In 2008, she suffered life altering health complications.
Evelyn is predeceased by her parents Polly and Nick Verigin, sister Alice, and survived by her loving husband Tim, her brothers Gary and Floyd (Nat), her daughter Kailey (Bill), son Travis (Victoria), and grandchildren Ava and Jack.
The family would like to sincerely thank the New Denver RCMP, the Winlaw first responders and Thompson Funeral Home for their support. A celebration of life will be held in early spring or summer.
