Soccer Quest, formerly of Nelson but now based in Kamloops, is pleased to announce its annual pilgrimage to the Heritage City to boost the level of roundball in the region by hosting summer soccer camps in Nelson July 9-13 & August 27-31 at the Lakeside Fields.

“Our camps are all about the budding Nelson soccer stars playing soccer for a full week and having loads of fun while doing it,” said Dave Spendlove of Soccer Quest.

“Our philosophy is about you learn better when having fun. Each day we teach a new skill, passing, shooting, heading (age related), receiving the ball & team play.”

Spendlove said the afternoon World Cup program has been copied by most soccer camps around BC and Canada and we still have the world cup trophy to play for.

“We have spotted many players from our Kootenay camps to move onto higher levels of soccer throughout BC and in our 13 years in the Kootenay’s we have had over 20 + players receive scholarship offers from University’s in Canada and the U.S.,” he said.

During its time in Nelson Soccer Quest brought to the Nelson soccer community Ladies soccer, Co-ed soccer and men’s recreational soccer.

All this done with the help of the indoor soccer facility Soccer Quest built, developed and operated and later sold to Nelson Youth soccer, Spendlove added.

Spendlove said Soccer Quest is also responsible for bringing the Whitecaps Academy to Nelson.

For more information on our camps and other programs go to soccerquest.ca.

Campers registering and paying by May 31st will receive 15% off fees.
