BC Coroners Service confirms death at Six Mile Beach
The BC Coroners Service has confirmed there has been a death at Six Mile Beach north of Nelson last Saturday.
In an emailed statement, the BC Coroners Service said the department was notified of a death on July 20th that occurred on (Saturday) July 18th at Six Mile Beach.
“Our fact-finding investigation to determine how, where, when and by what means the individual came to their unexpected death is in the early stages,” the BC Coroners Service said.
Social media suggests the person died from drowning after being caught in the undertow current at Six Mile Beach.
BC Coroners Service said no other information is being released at this time.
