Mallard's Team of the Week — Kootenay Masters Men's Curling Champs

Team West Kootenay, skipped by Bill vanYzerloo of Castlegar, edged Ken McHargue of Elkford 8-7 to capture the Qualifier 1 spot at the Masters Men Kootenay Curling Championships held last month in Invermere.
The vanYzerloo rink scored a single in the eight end to secure the victory.
The rink includes vanYzerloo, third Myron Nichol of Castlegar, second Garry Beaudry of Nelson and Richard Faunt of Trail.
The McHargue rink also advances to the BC Championships as the Qualifier 2.
Mallard’s Source for sports would like to salute the vanYzerloo rink as Team of the Week.
The Masters Men BC Championships are set for March 3-8 in Duncan/Cowichan Valley.
