Mallard's Team of the Week — LVR Junior Bombers

The L.V. Rogers Bombers outlasted Sparwood to capture the Consolation Final at the Fernie Falcons Junior Boy’s Basketball Tournament Saturday in the East Kootenay City.
Kelton Forte scored 12 points to pace the Bombers to a 59-45 victory over Sparwood. Forte also earned Bomber player-of-the-game honours.
LVR opened the tournament Friday with a tough 52-43 loss to David Thompson Lakers of Invermere. Calvin Wheeler was the Bombers player-of-the-game.
Josh Creak led LVR past Elkford 78-19 in consolation play.
Mallard’s Source for sports would like to salute the Bombers with Team of the Week honours.
The team includes, Josh Creak, Isaac Vissers, Nathaniel Pan, Sam Orasuk, Calvin Wheeler, Mika Whitefield, Matteo Kataoka, Kelton Forte, Evan Lamle, Quinn Kilpatrick, Nathan Humphrey and coaches Ryan MacKinnon and Matthew Fuhr.
