Ben Woodward of Whitewater placed second Thursday at the Freeride Junior World Championships at Kappl, Austria.

Woodward finished second to Dylan Lavenex of Switzerland with Abel Moga of Spain third in the men’s ski event.

According to the FJWC website Woodward put together a textbook run, fluidly linking-up three critical airs, which included a stylish 360 and a big stomp to close out a solid performance.

The FWT is the worldwide circuit of freeride snowboarding and skiing with the best riders in the world competing on the most legendary and challenging alpine faces and the most renowned ski resorts across the world.

Woodward was one of four athletes representing Canada at the Freeride World Jr Championships this Thursday in Austria.
