Mallard's Team of the Week — Mount Sentinel Wildcats Girl's Volleyball

The Mount Sentinel Wildcats finished 14th overall at the recent BC High School A Girl’s Volleyball Championships in Fernie.
The Cats, consisting of players between Grade 8 and 12, lost some heartbreaking matches to finish with a 4-4 record. The provincial results mirrored the season for Mount Sentinel, which at times had three players under Grade 10 on the floor.
Mallard’s Source for sports would like to honour the Wildcats as Team of the Week for the squad’s perseverance throughout the season.
The team includes, Leanne Kabatoff, Jerika Perepolkin, Hazel Veerman-Sparks, Jaylen Rushton, Calla DeRosa, Eeana Cotton, Haley Soukeroff, Adriana Wilson, Aisha Makortoff and Jasmyne Cartier. The coach is Joe Moreira.
Mount Sentinel Juniors Place 19th
The Mount Sentinel Wildcats finished 19th at the 24-team BC Junior Boy’s Volleyball Championships held last month in Kelowna.
The results, like the senior girls, did not paint a correct picture of the performance of the Wildcats at the tournament that does not differentiate between school size.
