Mallard's Team of the Week — Kootenay Chill Club Basketball Team

The Kootenay Chill Club Basketball Team continues to gain experience on the spring minor basketball circuit, playing various tournaments in the Thompson and Okanagan region.

Club basketball is played outside the high school season, allowing players and coaches to gain more experience in preparation for the next season beginning in the fall.

The squad, under the direction of L.V. Rogers Bombers coach and grad, Jeremy Phelan, consists from players in the Steve Nash and Trafalgar Thunder programs.

The Chill have posted wins against opposition from, Penticton, Kamloops, Gibsons from the Sunshine Coast and Kelowna.

Mallard’s Source for sports would like to salute the players with Team of the Week honours.

There are two teams in the program — U14 and U13.

Some of the players posting a 3-0 record at the recent Pro Hops Tournament in Kamloops include, Callum McClure, Kelton Forte, Boris Oudeman, Mateo Kataoka, Van Kozak, Evan Lammle, Nathaniel Pan, Jaheem Berry and coaches Mike Nagle and Jeremy Phelan.
