Thunder capture two of three during Central Okanagan hoop trip

Before the Thunder left on their trip to the Central Okanagan, Tom Atkins, Manager-Marketing & Relations Development for Nelson and District Credit Union dropped by practice to present the players with a donation to help offset expenses. The Trafalgar Thunder Boy’s Basketball team won two of three during a recent trip to the Central Okanagan over the weekend.
The Thunder defeated Pleasant Valley of Armstrong (69-19) and Kalamalka of Vernon (47-44) during the three-game swing.
The lone setback came against Okanagan powerhouse Clarence Fulton Maroons (34-29).
“We’d like to recognize support of the Nelson and District Credit Union, Lions Club and Trafalgar PAC for their contributions to make this trip a success,” said coach Jeremy Phelan.
