Kootenay rinks remain in hunt at 2017 BC Senior Curling Championships

Two teams with Kootenay connections remain in the hunt for the playoff round at the 2017 BC Senior Curling Championships in Salmon Arm.

Defending champion Bob Ursel of Kelowna, with Rob Koffski at the helm, and Gerry Kent of Cranbrook are currently in third and fifth, respectively, in tournament standings following Draw 8.

Koffski, with third Dave Stephenson of Kelowna, second Don Freschi of Trail and lead Fred Thomson of Nelson, suffered their first loss Thursday, losing 8-5 to Wes Craig of Victoria to fall to 4-1.
