Nelson golfer earns Conference Men's Golfer of the Week award

L.V. Rogers Bomber grad and Missouri Valley College Junior Josh Coletti has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Missouri Valley College Invitational last week.
Coletti, who toiled with Bombers during his high school days and has been a constant player at the B.C. Men’s Amateur the past few years, finished the Invitational tied for second place after posting a 36-hole total of 148 (+4) at Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall, Mo.
The Granite Pointe at Nelson golfer was one of only three participants in the Invitational to finish a round under par, when he shot a 71 (-1) in his second round.
The Viking men’s golf team finished in a tie for third place at the Invitational, thanks in part to Coletti’s score. This is the first weekly honor of the season for Coletti and for the men’s golf program.
The Viking golf teams were in action Monday and Tuesday at the Central Methodist Invitational in Boonville, Mo.
Coletti is the son of Tina and Dave Coletti of Nelson.
