Mates, Hour Glass have easy time during week two of WKMFFL; showdown set for Sunday

The Dam Inn Mates continue to have an easy time with teams in the West Kootenay Men’s Flag Football League after waltzing to its second easy win in as many weeks.
The Mates, defending WKMFFL champs, dumped a short-staffed Rossland Brewers squad 46-13 in action Sunday at the Mount Sentinel Field.
Unfortunately, for the Brewers the game marked the second time in as many weeks the club had difficulty fielding a team.
In the other game, Nelson Hour Glass kept pace with the Mates by blowing out the Castlegar Vikings 32-8.
The two undefeated teams — Mates and Hour Glass — meet in an early season showdown Sunday at 11 a.m. at Mount Sentinel.
In the other game the Vikings meet the Brewers at 1 p.m.
