Free debt workshop in Slocan Valley

Unsure how to manage your debts? Wondering what your options are?
The Kootenay Boundary Credit Clinic is holding a free workshop on Saturday, Feb. 12, 1-5 p.m. at the Slocan Park Hall.
The workshop can help you to take charge of your debts and use credit wisely. Learn the tools you need to move beyond stress and fear to take control of your financial situation.
Workshop topics will include: what to do if you are struggling to pay your debts; legal information about bankruptcy, debt default, debt collection and student loans; tips to improve your credit rating; and information about the different types of credit available.
Pre-registration for the Feb. 12 workshop is required. Simply contact the Slocan Valley Recreation Commission at 226-0008 or fill out the registration form in the Slocan Valley Leisure Guide.
