Athletes from Trafalgar Middle School and L.V. Rogers High School recently qualified to compete in the upcoming BC High School Track and Field Championships.

Six athletes will be travelling to Langley for the BC High School Track and Field Championships from June 7-10 in the Fraser Valley.

The LVR competitors include Allison Hung, Maya Abraham and Mitchell Erickson.

The Kootenay Bombers came within a whisker of capturing a Gold Medal at the 18U Youth Club Volleyball Nationals this past weekend in Calgary.

Work crews poured the base this week for the new outdoor basketball court located adjacent to the tennis courts at the Rotary Lakeside Park in Nelson.

The L.V. Rogers Bombers used home field advantage to capture the Kootenay Zone Girl's Soccer Championships Thursday at the Lakeside Pitch in Nelson.

The Bombers blasted Kootenay River of Creston in game two of the three-team round-robin tournament.

The Kootenay Chill is hosting a U13 Spring Basketball tournament Saturday, May 13 at L.V. Rogers Hangar.
