Swanson, Melbourne Bruce Allan

It is with great sadness that the family of Melbourne Bruce Allan Swanson announce his passing at 76 years of age.  Mel passed away on August 27, 2023.

He was born June 18th, 1947, and lived most of his life in New Denver BC.  Mel loved the area and everything that it had to offer.  He was married to Gayle Swanson on July 25, 1970, who passed away in 2018.  He loved his family, his yard and his friends dearly.

Mel will be lovingly remembered by his son Dennis and daughter-in-law Tracey, his daughter Debbra and son-in-law Dean, his granddaughters Brittney, Danielle and Alexa, and his great granddaughter Vivian. He will be sorely missed.

Mel had requested no service be held in his memory, but rather an outdoor social gathering in his backyard.  An informal get together, will be held in his yard at 110 Kildare Street in New Denver on October 28th, beginning at 4 PM.
