Stevens, Beverley (Bev) Mae

Beverley Mae Stevens (Bev) peacefully passed away February 7th, 2023, at the age of 80 in Nelson, BC. She always had a kind word for everyone, cherished her friends and loved her family deeply. She will be missed by so many.

Bev is survived by her sons Brandon and Spencer; her grandchildren Jordan, Rayne, and Parker; also, by her brother Robert Black; sisters Barbara Lundstad and Brenda (Gerry) Goertzen, sister-in-laws Louann Asplund and Barbara Gulmick, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Bev was predeceased by her late beloved husband Thomas Stevens, her parents James and Hazel Black, and her in-laws Pat and Cleone Stevens. Bev was born in Lethbridge, AB, in the Galt hospital and raised on the farm in Lethbridge, AB.

Married in 1962 in Lethbridge, AB, shortly moving to Trail, BC, and ultimately ending up in Nelson, BC, in 1970 where she worked a few careers but ended up working 30+ years for the BC Govt in Land Titles.  Bev was an avid curler and golfer. She went to the BC provincials with her curling team multiple times, was an awesome curler even though she curled left handed and even won the sportsmanship award when it was held in Nelson. Bev was also a passionate golfer and went to many tournaments and trips with her friends. She had many friends and was a friend to all truly, always to lend an ear or encouraging word. She also enjoyed going to Castlegar with her friends to get a Tim Horton’s and try their luck at the Casino. Bev also enjoyed reading and watching curling and golf on TV. Bev led a beautiful life and will be missed greatly
