Ross, Stuart Donald

(August 3rd, 2023)

September 14, 1964 – August 3, 2023

Stuart was the son of Don and Rosemary Ross, and brother to Cathy (Tom), Leslie (Shawn), and Laurel (Mike). He was proud to have been born and raised in Prince George, BC. He was a founding partner of Pacific Insight Electronics, which he and his business partner proudly started in Don and Rosemary’s basement when Stuart was 19 years old.

In 1987 Stuart moved to Nelson, BC. It was there that he met his future wife, Naomi. They were married in 1997 and welcomed two children, Paige and Jack, into their family in 2001 and 2003.

Stuart believed in living life to the fullest. He was generous with his time and full of wisdom, wit and humour. He was a loyal friend to many and was known as the guy who always remembered your birthday and who loved celebrating all of life’s good moments.

After retiring in 2019, he shifted his focus from being devoted to work to spending time with friends and family.

Stuart succumbed to a heart attack while swimming in the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.

As per Stuart’s wishes, he did not want a memorial service. He believed that life is for the living; he was never apt for unnecessary fanfare or difficult good-byes. He will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege to consider him a husband, father, brother, uncle, colleague, and friend.
