Perepolkin, Vera

(December 10th, 2022)

We are honouring, celebrating, and remembering Vera Perepolkin, our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who passed on December 10, 2022.

Vera was born April 14, 1939, in the community of Krestova to parents Mike and Annie Legebokoff.  She had a brother Mike, and sister Helen.

Vera met George and they decided to unite in marriage on April 14, 1957.  They were blessed with 54 years of marriage and four children: William, Carl, Elaine, and Shirley. They lived in Shoreacres, BC. Vera and George did everything together.  They were like two peas in a pod.  There were inseparable.

Vera was a woman of grace and courage, with not a stubborn streak in her soul. Vera was filled with love and kindness and had very strong beliefs in God and prayers.  She was an active, genuine, loyal, and honest person.

Vera was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved cooking, baking, gardening, and would do anything for her kids.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Her family was always number one to her.  She enjoyed sitting by the water, picnics, and sipping on some good juice.  These things made her happy.  She was the most hospitable person you could ever meet.  She would always welcome neighbours, friends, & relatives into her home.  She loved playing cards and putting out snacks to whoever was over.  She loved entertaining.

Vera is pre-deceased by her husband George Perepolkin, her parents Mike and Annie Legebokoff, her sister Helen Legebokoff, and grandson Morgan Perepolkin.  She is survived by her children William (Liz) Perepolkin, Carl (Laurie) Perepolkin, Elaine Perepolkin, Shirley (Fred) Markin, brother Mike (Diane) Legebokoff, five grandchildren, one great grandchild.  The love and devotion she had for her grandchildren was unconditional.

We would like to thank Dr Wilson, Nelson interior home support workers, Kootenay Lake Hospital, Tyler Van Ramshorst and staff, Poplar Ridge and staff, Thompson Funeral Service, Shoreacres Cemetery Group, Harry and Maya Zeabin, and Leonard Markin.  Thank you.

The family said their farewells on December 16, 2022.  May Vera rest in peace.
