Kubin, Lawrence
It is with great sorrow that we have to announce the passing of (Lawrie) Kubin. Lawrie passed away in the early hours of Saturday August 27th, 2016. Lawrie was born to Mike and Mary Kubin on February 22, 1933 in Revelstoke, BC.
The Kubin family consists of Mom, and Dad, sister Mary and Marge, and brother Jack and Lawrie. The family then moved to Nelson. Lawrie spent the majority of his life in Nelson where he received his schooling, enjoyed all sporting activities, and worked at a variety of jobs ending at Kootenay Forest.
Lawrie and his wife, Sharon, spent many happy years to gather both at home and travelling Casinos were a special pass time. He was an avid gambler, Lawrie will be missed by his wife Sharon, his sister Mary Foreman, his in-laws Gordon and Peggy Whittaker, nieces, nephews and friends.
Rest in peace Lawrie, We miss you terribly already. His funeral Mass will be held at The Cathedral of Mary Immaculate, 813 Ward St, Nelson BC on Friday September 2, 2016 at 10:30am.
