Jacobson, Judith (Judy) Ann

On Monday, October 9, 2023, Judith (Judy) Ann Jacobson, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 80. Judy was born on August 7, 1943, in Nelson, BC, to Alfred (Jack) and Grace Stringer.
On July 30, 1977, she married Gary Jacobson at Nelson United Church and they raised three children: Nicole (Eddie), Mark (Sarah) and Tad. She has two grandchildren: Erik and Emma.
Judy was raised in Nelson as an only child with devoted parents and a wide circle of family friends. After graduating from LV Rogers in 1962, she continued to live in Nelson while working as a bookkeeper for Kootenay Forest Products for many years.
Judy was a social and warm person who always enjoyed visitors and making people feel welcome. Despite living with a profound lifelong hearing loss, she was active in dance, volleyball, and figure skating, with a wide circle of friends. She loved reading, cross-stitch, knitting, sewing, and spending time with her pets.
Judy was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Gary, and her mother and father.
Her life was celebrated on October 15, 2023, at 11 a.m., at Thompson Funeral Service.
