It is with heartfelt sadness the family of Liam Henshaw announces his sudden and tragic passing at the age of 21 years.
Liam was born on August 24th 1999 and passed away suddenly on August 26th 2020 in Nelson, BC.
He was predeceased by his grandfather Bill Henshaw. Liam is survived by his parents, Jeff Henshaw and Rebecca Elias, his grandparents Karen Henshaw, and David and Chris Elias, his aunt Emily Elias and cousin Rhys John, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Liam was a loving, funny, smart young man with a passion for video games and a talent with technology. He was an amazing son and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him well.
He was a gentle soul.
The family would like to thank RCMP Cst. Siu and NCP Cst. Sutherland for their kindness and support.
We would also like to thank Dr. Sparrow and the emergency team.
The family would like to express our deep gratitude for the friends that stayed with him. Your compassion will always be remembered.
A private Celebration of Life will be held.
Friends and family are invited to a gathering to celebrate Liam on Saturday, September 5th at 3095 Blewett Road from 3-5pm. During this time of stories and sharing, the family will have a Covid 19 plan in place. They ask all to observe the plan and flow to keep everyone in attendance safe.
Expressions of sympathy to honour Liam’s life can be made to Kootenay Lake Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
