Helen Keefe
Born October 21, 1933, passed away January 19, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Helen Keefe. Mom was born in the old hospital in Nelson. She was raised on a farm at the upper end of Sproule Creek in Taghum and often spoke fondly of her younger years in Taghum and the Nelson area. Mother was a strong and vibrant women who raised 3 children, Wayne(Dorie), David(Joy), and Gayle(Mike).
Helen is survived by her sister Francis Webber(nee Zmaeff), numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother (Helen Zmaeff), her father (John Zmaeff) and sister, Pauline Soviak (nee Zmaeff).
As caring mothers can be, mother was strong for those around her. Through her, we received her precious love and guidance. Mom – wish you a happy journey, we miss you, and we love you.
A memorial tea was held at mom’s house on Saturday, January 28th, from 12 noon to 4 pm
